Gallery - YEP! County Meeting - 2025
The 1st County Meeting, which took place on Tuesday, October 21st, centered around raising awareness and promoting prevention of substance misuse among youth. Participants engaged in an open discussion about the importance of understanding the impacts of substance use and how it affects individuals, families, and the broader community. Additionally, the meeting also highlighted the role youth can have in spreading positive, prevention-focused messages and supporting peers through healthy choices.
As part of the interactive portion, students got the opportunity to participate in a creative activity where they painted substance misuse prevention messages with a spooky Halloween twist. This activity not only encourages students to express their ideas through art, but fosters creativity, and meaningful conversations about how to make prevention messaging more engaging to their peers.
The next, YEP! event will be the Youth Empowerment Summit (YES), which will take place on Tuesday, November 21st from 8:30AM-2:30PM.
