NIAAA Multi-Language Factsheets
Providing information in multiple languages can help extend the reach of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism’s (NIAAA) resources. Many visitors to NIAAA’s website come from countries where languages such as Spanish, Tagalog, Japanese, and Chinese are spoken. In addition, Executive Order 13166, issued in 2000, called for all federal agencies to provide individuals with limited English proficiency meaningful access to their services.
Planning Safe Events
Overuse of alcohol is the third leading cause of preventable death in the United States. Use this toolkit to plan your next event and ensure you’re serving alcohol the safe way.
Positive Choices
Positive Choices is an online portal to help schools and communities access accurate, up-to-date evidence based alcohol and other drug education resources.
Power of Parents (MADD)
MADD’s Power of Parents program empowers parents of middle school and high school students to have ongoing, intentional conversations about the dangers and consequences of underage drinking.
Partnership to End Addiction
We partner with families, professionals and other organizations to end addiction in this country. Ours is a public health approach, rooted in science and compassion.
National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
The mission of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism is to generate and disseminate fundamental knowledge about the effects of alcohol on health and well-being, and apply that knowledge to improve diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of alcohol-related problems, including alcohol use disorder, across the lifespan.
Above The Influence
Our goal is to help teens stand up to negative pressures, or influences. The more aware you are of the influences around you, the better prepared you will be to face them, including the pressure to use drugs and alcohol.
