The Engaged in Action Awards recognize individuals or organizations who are committed to making a difference in Douglas County, and exemplify the mission and values of Engage Douglas County.
Engage Douglas County’s mission is to mobilize and empower Douglas County to reduce substance abuse and promote mental health primarily among youth through action, education, and collaboration.
We help increase awareness of issues that affect many of our Douglas County residents, including matters such as suicide, underage alcohol use, vaping, marijuana use, and more. Through an increased awareness of these issues, we aim to enable residents to seek support when needed. We focus on prevention efforts from a variety of resources and organizations within the county and help connect these pieces together to make it easier for residents to better utilize them. Through our network of partners, we work to provide support for issues that affect Douglas County residents.
