Douglas County Installs 988 Signs for Mental Health Awareness Month

Douglas County organizations joined forces to install physical 988 signage across the county to boost awareness of the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline during Mental Health Awareness Month.

Partners included the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health, working alongside resource partners and coalition partners. Using data-driven input, these signs were placed in areas where suicide is more prevalent, especially in rural areas around the community.

By working together we can prevent suicide and make a healthier, happier Douglas County for everyone!
