February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month - a chance to raise awareness and inform others about the warning signs of relationship violence amongst teens. This month our we will be sharing resources and information related to this issue through our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Be sure to follow along!

The Willow Domestic Violence Center

The Willow Domestic Violence Center is an incredible resource right here in Douglas County for those experiencing or who have experienced issues related to domestic violence and human trafficking. The Willow is a safe space to regroup and rebuild for all survivors regardless of their age, gender, or current situation.⠀

YEP! County Meeting

The YEP! County meeting was held on January 14th at Perry Le-Compton High School. We had 23 students in attendance. The students learned about what leadership and empowerment meant. They participated in an activity using leadership and empowerment skills, solving puzzles in groups.

Kansas Fights Addiction

DCCCA has been awarded continued funding through Kansas Fights Addiction for its school-based program through December 2025. This funding will support two school-based prevention specialists serving Perry-Lecompton and Eudora. The program's primary focus will be developing a youth internship program designed to enhance high school student's interest in the behavioral health field.
