Mental health care isn’t one size fits all.

Also referred to as BIPOC Mental Health Month, each July the Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Month aims to raise awareness and advocate for mental health to traditionally underserved populations. This creates a time and opportunity to review how we approach mental health to ensure everyone has access to the resources they need.

Every third Wednesday of the month ALIVE Inc hosts Recovery Wednesday, a peer led support group from facilitators with lived experience in mental health and substance misuse recovery. It is a free event and open to the public, with lunch provided by The Jax Project.

Feeding Eudora is approaching the final stretch of the summer! With an average of 180 meals served each day, stop by one of the dates for food and sunshine at the Eudora Public Library.

Sticker Shock Campaign

This summer Engage Douglas County is partnering with local retailers in the county to implement a sticker shock campaign. We will be placing thousands of stickers on alcohol products to remind people that underage drinking is a crime and carries consequences, like up to a $1,000 fine and potential loss of liquor license. This work is part of a larger initiative to prevent underage alcohol use in our community.
